The First Judicial District Pro Bono Roll Of Honor recognizes those lawyers who performed pro bono work in both the Court of Common Pleas and Municipal Court. Honorees are recognized by the judges for their pro bono services to low income individuals in the Philadelphia courts.
In order to be eligible for this honor, the attorney:
- must have provided the pro bono services to a client or client group for a case pending before the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania during the period of January 1, 2011 and October 1, 2011;
- must be in private practice;
- must have (1) provided services to a client or client group who does not have the resources to compensate another attorney for the services, or (2) organized, implemented or managed an initiative to expand pro bono legal services in the courts; and
- did not receive a fee or have any expectation of receiving a fee for the services.
Congratulations to Jim Beasley, Jr. of the Beasley Firm for being recognized by the judiciary as exemplary in pro bono work.
