In the spotlight

Open up the new Philadelphia magazine to the annual 74-page Super Lawyers special advertising section, and you'll find lots of smiling lawyers in suits, sitting around conference tables. And then there's the five Super Lawyers at The Beasley Firm, shown reenacting the flag-planting at Iwo Jima, only this time it's a Commonwealth of Pennsylvania flag being planted on the Art Museum steps.
For The Beasley Firm, it's only the latest Super Lawyers oddity. Last year, four Beasley Super Lawyers dressed up in Beatle wigs and white suits and reenacted the famous parade across Abbey Road. In previous years, Beasley Super Lawyers have been photographed playing cards and smoking cigars in a back room, or wearing black suits and sunglasses and standing in front of an old World War II fighter plane.
"We don't take ourselves too seriously," explained Jim Beasley Jr., the firm's managing partner. "We're different. We work real hard and we also know how to have fun."
Photographer Jim Graham has done all the Super Lawyers shots for the firm.
