What to Expect
Here's what you can expect when you meet with us

Even though we make our livings in the courtroom and are most comfortable there, we recognize how absolutely nerve-wracking it can be to a new client, particularly when they’ve suffered a devastating loss. Because it’s such an alien world to most people, we make sure that you understand the “who, what, where, when and why” of the litigation process.

Your experience starts with the intake. We spend a good amount of time going over the specific facts of your situation, and we ask that you create a detailed narrative. Then, if appropriate for your case, we order whatever records or materials we need to obtain. If we can develop a legitimate case, we will draft the necessary documents and share them with you.

The better we know what you're thinking, and the better you know what we're thinking, the better the case will go. We may send a photographer and videographer to you to capture the difficulties you or your loved one face. We will require that you keep us advised of changes in circumstances, physicians, and the like.

At some point in the suit you and others who have knowledge about your case will have their deposition taken, which is a meeting with us and the opposing attorneys so they can ask you questions, under oath. We will meet before that event to ensure you are prepared, and will review questions and answers so you know what themes to expect.

After that, it's time to prepare for trial and we will work with you in our special courtroom, right in our building, complete with a judges' bench, witness box, and a jury mural, to ensure you are used to that environment and are fully prepared for trial. Our clients have stated how invaluable this form of preparation is, and like with sports, you need to practice like you're competing.

Not many other firms have such resources dedicated to ensuring you are comfortable with the process, and have the understanding to effectively prepare and present your case to a judge and jury. After all, it’s your case, but it's our reputation.
